On 09/11/08 had class discussions about several things that we need to be aware of for our class. First, went
over some of the resources that we had on the websites. Second, we discussed the Four Corners Storytelling Festival,
which will be located at Berg Park on October 9-11. It is required that we be there and if we volunteer we will
get in for FREE. Third, we went to Kwanis and had a class discussion about the article called Body Ritual Among
the Nacirema. The first time I read the article I thought it was really strange. I had no idea it was about
our American society!! As we read and discussed certain parts about the article it started to make more sense.
The last thirty minutes of class we got into groups to discuss our books for Literature Circle Dialogue. I chose to
read Join In: Multiethnic Stories.
