Plan
Identify some kind of experience
that you and the students would like to remember and celebrate later. The possibilities are unlimited!

Science Experiments |
Enjoy the experience, taking pictures as your field trip,
experiment, guest speaker, play, competition or unit unfolds. Remember that with digital cameras more photos are always better
than fewer. If you don't like some you can pitch them now or later, but if you miss a shot, it's gone forever. Take maybe
two to four times as many as you will need.
Organize
· Create a contact sheet or print out thumbnail size
(10-20 per page) of photos. Share the photos with the learners. Determine as a group, which photos might be useful. We're looking for ten good ones (one for the cover
and 9 for the contents), so you'll want to have selected fifteen or more to ~ make choices from as the text is created.
· Create a New Folder for each different webbe book.
· Identifying the audience for their webbe. Determine
what kind of impact you would like to have on that audience (If they don't know how to do that, put it in your list
of things to teach and as they watch your demonstration of how you do it, offer them a think aloud about the impact the YOU've
selected for the audience)
· Sequencing the photos in a manner that would be appropriate for that audience and impact. Use
Webbe Manuscript or Webbe Storyboard.
· Create text to go with each photo. The text should be crafted like any text for the audience
and impact you've selected.
· Translating your book into another language if needed or desired, providing for ESL, second
language learning or immigrant populations.
Create
· Using the Storyboard 10 template
(on desktop) insert pictures and type in text. Print.
· Construct a SCREEN webbe of your book using Webbe Template
(on desktop). That means inserting photos and text appropriately, following the directions on the template. In
each case the directions must be fully highlighted so what you enter replaces it completely.
· If you
select a Printable two language template (which offers places to put your text
into two languages) insert your second language also.
· Save as… with a unique name for your webbe in your webbe folder.
